India's constraint isn't its attractions. It's trust.
India received 20.6 million international tourist arrivals in 2024 — a figure that includes visiting non-resident Indians; foreign nationals alone accounted for 9.95 million. The monuments, the food and the transport network are not what hold the experience back. What holds it back is not knowing: whether the fare is fair, whether the guide is licensed, whether anyone will come if something goes wrong.
Cheating ranks second among crimes reported against tourists.
Tour operators surveyed for a Ministry of Tourism–commissioned study reported theft (25%), cheating (16%) and sexual harassment (16%) as the most common.
Jaipur alone hosted 6.23 lakh foreign visitors in 2024.

Those tools give you general answers. Sahvo gives you local, verified ones — and acts when it matters. A calculator can't tell you what an auto ride from Hawa Mahal to Amber Fort should actually cost today. Translation doesn't verify that the guide in front of you is licensed. And none of them send your location to the emergency contacts you've chosen when you're in trouble, with no internet. Sahvo does that over SMS. General tools inform. Sahvo protects.
Jaipur is dense enough to be measurable and small enough to get right. It sits on the Golden Triangle with year-round international footfall, has an established licensed-guide ecosystem to verify against, and a compact tourist zone where geofencing and fare benchmarking can be validated street by street. Getting one city genuinely right beats being shallow in ten.
Five features on Android, in Hindi and English: one-tap SOS with offline SMS fallback, the verified guide marketplace with fixed published pricing, geofenced safety alerts, price transparency tools (auto fare, MRP scanner, hotel benchmarking), and multilingual support. iOS and the remaining six languages follow in the next phase.
